AIESEC student sharing best Practices

AIESEC is the World’s largest non-profit youth –run organization. It is an international non –governmental non- for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development and cross –culture global internship and volunteer exchange experiences across the globe, with a focus to empower young people .So they can make appositive impact on society.


The AIESEC network includes approximately 70,000 members in 127 countries and territories including 2400 universities.


AIESEC University Students requested  the ministry of women and child affairs for a discussion on women Empowerment in Sri Lanka. Twenty five students from the international universities participated for the discussion and shared their experiences with our ministry.


Mrs Ashoka Alawatta –Additional Secretary (Development), Mrs.Champa Upasena – Director (Women’s Bureau), Mr.J.P.S.Jayasinghe –Director (Planning) participated in this meeting and shared information about the  historical background, Policies, Plans  and major activities of our ministry. The Students visited our ministry library and 1938 Complaint Centre as well.
