Statistical Handbook - State Ministry of Women and Child Development, Preschool and Primary Education, School Infrastructure and Education Services.

Data and information play a vital role in making the right decisions on precise manner in the field of women and children. Therefore, this Statistical Handbook was launched in October 2021 with the involvement of the Ministry on behalf of policy makers, researchers, planners as well as all stakeholders working in the field.

This handbook accurately reflects the profile of women and children in Sri Lanka at present, analyzing secondary data published by various governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as with use of primary data of the Ministry. We hope you will make use of this handbook for the advancement of women and child development under the scope of your Ministry/ District Secretariat/ Institution.
