The key
function of the Development division, which has the primary responsibility for
the formulation of policies and the implementation of national level
development programmes of the Ministry, is to coordinate the programs
implemented by the institutions functioning under the Ministry, coordinate the
institutions affiliated to the United Nations along with foreign as well as
local institutions, and to coordinate and evaluate the national level
programmes.
