Towards a Resilient Digital Sri Lanka: Third Cybersecurity Training Program Conducted for Kalutara District Officials
Marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s National Digital Security initiative, the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs successfully concluded its third Cybersecurity Awareness Program. Launched as a strategic component of the "Clean Sri Lanka" national program, the session was held at the Sethsiripaya premises in Battaramulla on 19th February 2026.
Strategic Oversight and Objectives
Following a request by the Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, the program was conducted under the direct guidance of the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and the Chief of National Intelligence.
The primary objective was to empower Women and Child Development Officers and relevant public officials from the Kalutara District with the skills necessary to navigate the modern digital landscape while rigorously safeguarding both personal and official data.

Institutional Collaboration and Leadership
The training was delivered by an expert team led by the Director of the Defence Cyber Command (DCC). High-level representation from the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs included Director of Planning/ Acting Director General of the Planning and IT Division.
